Cognitive & Learning Delays

Strengthening the Building Blocks of Learning

When a child struggles with learning, memory, or communication, it’s often because the brain isn’t processing information in the most efficient way. It's not because they can’t learn, but because they haven’t had the right kind of input yet.

At Resolve Unlimited, we support families of children with cognitive disabilities, global developmental delays, and learning profiles that fall outside the traditional system. Whether your child is verbal or nonverbal, academic or adaptive-focused, we meet them where they are, with respect, curiosity, and the right tools.

What We Support

We specialize in working with children who have:

  • Developmental delays or intellectual disabilities
  • Level 2 or 3 autism
  • Nonverbal or limited expressive language
  • Attention, memory, and processing challenges
  • Unclear learning profile or minimal school progress
  • Trauma, regression, or complex neurodivergence

Our programs focus on the foundational brain skills that make any kind of learning possible: language, attention, memory, sequencing, and regulation.

Our Tools for Cognitive Growth

We offer a program of at-home, neuroscience-based programs with professional guidance and customization designed especially for families who may have been told “this is as far as they’ll go.” We don’t believe that.

Fast ForWord

Fast ForWord helps train the brain to process sound and information more efficiently. Even small improvements in auditory processing, working memory, and attention can unlock major changes in how a child learns and engages.

This program uses simple, game-like activities that adjust in real time to your child’s pace and needs.

Many families report:

  • New or clearer words emerging
  • Better memory and following directions
  • Longer focus during tasks
  • Reduced frustration around learning

Even if your child is not reading yet or struggles with verbal language, Fast ForWord may be a fit.

The Listening Program

TLP uses filtered music to help organize the nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and create the calm foundation needed for learning. This is especially powerful for children who are often dysregulated, highly sensitive, or stuck in “survival mode.”

Families often notice:

  • More emotional balance
  • Easier transitions
  • Better sleep and reduced meltdowns
  • A more receptive and open state for learning

TLP can be done passively, while playing, coloring, or relaxing.

TalkTools

This hands-on oral motor program uses tools like chewy tubes, straws, and bubbles to help children with:

  • Speech sound production
  • Feeding challenges or picky eating
  • Mouth awareness and coordination
  • Sensory aversions or seeking behaviors

Even for children who are not yet speaking, this program can help wake up and organize the oral system, often creating readiness for future gains in language and self-regulation.

Our Philosophy: Every Brain Can Grow

We don’t treat diagnoses, we support humans. Your child is not a checklist of deficits. They are capable, worthy, and full of potential. Even if their path looks different.

We focus on:

  • Strengthening what is working
  • Building tolerance and readiness for growth
  • Celebrating the smallest shifts that mean the most
  • Supporting the whole family, not just the student

We’re here to support the brain, but we never forget the heart.

Getting Started Is Simple

  1. Schedule a free consult so we can learn about your child.
  2. We create a custom plan based on your goals, their needs, and what’s developmentally appropriate.
  3. Your child does short sessions at home (typically 30 - 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week).
  4. We stay in close contact, adjusting, celebrating, and guiding as you go.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. We walk with you.
